Presentation on desert soils, ways to fertilize gardens set Jan. 25 in West Richland

The Tri-City Rose Society will give a presentation on desert soils and recommendations on ways to fertilize local gardens at its Jan. 25 in West Richland.

The guest speaker will be Kennewick native Douglas Dickey, founder of Carbon One Fertilizer, a corporation which distributes products in eight western states.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Sandburg Event Center, 331 S. 41st Ave..
