Taco Bell just announced it's days away from launching a new menu item, and believe it or not, it just so happens to be a first for the company.

On Tuesday, the cult-favorite Mexican-inspired chain announced it had teamed up with another legendary icon to introduce a "first-of-its-kind" sauce made with Zab's "St. Augustine Style" hot sauce and Taco Bell's Spicy Ranch, marking the first-ever Datil Pepper hot sauce partnership.

In Taco Bell style, the collaboration features much more than just a new sauce (that would be too simple). Instead, fans nationwide can expect to see a new entrée on the menu boards very soon: Zab's Chicken Ranch Nacho Fries.

Taco Bell Teams Up With Zab's Hot Sauce to Launch New Chicken Ranch Nacho Fries

Just over one month after Taco Bell revealed at its third annual Live Mas Live that its Nacho Fries would be made permanent, we're finally seeing what it has planned for what it calls its "go-to canvas for bold innovation."

Similar to its special chicken-bacon-ranch-inspired Nacho Fries, Zab's Chicken Ranch Nacho Fries takes Taco Bell's slow-roasted chicken, warm nacho cheese sauce, a three-cheese blend, and pico de gallo, according to an official description shared in an email with Parade. The recipe is then topped off with a sweet and spicy blend of Zab's "St. Augustine Style" Sauce (which the hot sauce brand calls a tribute to how traditional Datil Pepper sauces are made, where the peppers are grown in St. Augustine, Fla.) and Taco Bell's Spicy Ranch, starring a "creamy kick of Datil Pepper heat."

When Will Zab's Chicken Ranch Nacho Fries Release at Taco Bell?

According to today's announcement, Zab's Chicken Ranch Nacho Fries will be released at participating Taco Bell locations nationwide starting on Thursday, April 16, for $5.49 (prices may vary). Pair it with Taco Bell's recently released Diablo-dusted nuggets for an extra-spicy, filling meal (though you may want a Chiller or the new dessert empanadas on hand to help fan out the flames).

Then, starting next Tuesday (April 21), 500 lucky Taco Bell Rewards Members will score themselves a limited-edition merch kit featuring exclusive Zab's-inspired merch and a bottle of Zab's "St. Augustine Style" Sauce-only in the Tuesday Drops section of the app.
