A Tri-Cities favorite restaurant reopens a year after fire + Movie star touts local wine

Nearly a year after a kitchen fire forced a popular Tri-Cities restaurant to shut down, they’re back up and running and customers are clamoring to show their support.

Double Dragon Restaurant quietly reopened last week, and already customers are lined up to get a taste of their old favorites. The popular Chinese restaurant was forced to shut down after a passersby spotted the restaurant on fire in the middle of the night in early December.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the kitchen area, but damage seemed to be extensive.

Their new hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. They’re at 3107 W. Clearwater Ave.

Diaz talked about their unique labeling choices, which tells customers exactly what the wine tastes like.

The tasting room at 844 Tulip Lane, is open Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m.
