Tri-Cities takeout: Dumplings and ramen truck. Crepes with beer, wine
A new food place is open, serving up Japanese and Korean cuisine.
“We’re trying to bring a new flavor to Tri-Cities,” said Hi Dumplings co-owner Bohao Huang. “I like dumplings and ramen, and wanted to bring a food truck here with those options.”
Hi Dumplings serves dishes such as spicy or not spicy Tantan ramen, pan fried pork buns and teriyaki salmon on rice with asparagus.
And you can cool the heat with a Japanese soda.
Hi Dumplings is parked at 7425 W. Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick in the same area of Bella’s Office Furniture.
The food truck is open 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 9 p.m.
Kagen Coffee & Crepes
Kagen Coffee & Crepes in Richland has tapped into a growing thirst for eating out.
The crepe restaurant in the Uptown center off Jadwin Avenue expanded its menu at the beginning of August to add rotating taps of beer, cider and wine to pair with their sweet and savory crepes.
They’ll even do growler fills, and also offer bottomless mimosas.
Just outside the bistro are tables and umbrellas where guests can sit with a cold one or order online for pickup or delivery that features a wine and dine specials of a bottle of wine and two crepes to go.
The boozy offerings can be paired with roughly a half-dozen sweet options like Banana, lemon, chocolate, Nutella and an equal number of savory specials with fillings such as black beans, meats, cheeses, veggies and six sauces. A gluten free/vegan crepe batter is available.
Among current drink offerings are a blood orange cider from Ace Cider and a Tieton Cider Works Hazy Strawberry. Four Terra Blanca wines will be standard features.
For full menu or to order online, to to kagenandco.com/uptown. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for breakfast and brunch and 5 to 9 p.m. for dinner Monday through Saturday.
