4 Tri-Cities tap houses to get a cold beer and cider to take home
Cool off with a cold one on the Tri-Cities hottest weekend of the year with highs in the mid-90s.
Plenty of Tri-Cities breweries and tap houses are offering takeout from their taps.
Here are four great to-go choices:
Bombing Range Brewing
Take a drive to north Richland to grab growlers to go from Bombing Range Brewing Company at 2000 Logston Blvd.
If glass isn’t your thing, they have crowlers — or 32 ounce cans — of everything on tap.
Bombing Range has a selection of six standard suds on tap from their Days Pay IPA to a Czech Yo’ Self Pilsner. Just in this week, is the return of the seasonal Helles Yah.
Be sure to call to ask about other what other seasonal beers they have — and cider too. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for specials.
Wines by the bottle can be purchased, as well.
Their full food menu is available with seven kinds of mac and cheese — including poblano and BIGPopper with bacon, jalapeno and cream cheese. Also choose from appetizers, salads and an artisan pizza menu.
Bombing Range has a kids menu and a gluten-free crust option for pizza.
The brewery is open for takeout 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily or delivery 4 to 7 p.m. to Richland and West Richland with a $20 minimum order. To order call 509-392-3377. Website: bombingrangebrewing.com
Sage Brewing
Sage Brewing Company at 8425 Chapel Hill Blvd in Pasco added a crowler machine in mid-May to get their beers out the door more easily.
The brewery that just opened in December has nine of their own beers on tap including a Pink Boots Pandemic Pale, Awesome Possum Amber Red Ale, Stay At Home Stout and an Ultimate Bad Axe IPA — in honor of their future next door neighbor, the indoor hatchet throwing facility, AXE KPR.
Sage Brewing also currently has Nora Norah Pale Ale from Moonshot Brewing in Kennewick and a Tieton Cider Works bourbon barrel cherry on tap.
They are open daily from 3 to 8 p.m. You can order online at sagebrewing.beer. Check out their Facebook page for updates on operations. For more information, call 509-316-4035.
Moonshot Brewing
Moonshot Brewing opened in Kennewick just last year with a soccer theme at 8804 W. Victoria Ave.
They have nearly a dozen of their beers on tap including their flagship beer named for their logo — Sagittarius, a West Coast IPA.
Also on tap is Dancing on My Own, a maibock with all in-state ingredients; Perfect Timing, a sour IPA with passionfruit and guava; and Life Finds a Way, a classic American Amber with carmel notes.
Moonshot’s beers are available in crowlers, and you must order online with curbside pickup. It couldn’t be easier — drive up, call and they’ll bring out your order to ensure safety of customers and staff.
They are open Fridays and Saturdays 4 to 6:30 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m.
To order go to, moonshotbrewing.com. See their Facebook page for updates as well. For questions, call 509-491-1058.
Fast and Curryous food truck also is on site every Friday and Saturday — but you need to order by Thursdays so plan ahead for next week. Go to fastandcurryous.net.
D’s Wicked Hard Cider
For those who don’t or can’t drink beer, D’s Wicked Hard Cider will fill the bill.
The cider house and tasting room at 9312 W. 10th Ave., in Kennewick boasts 24 taps on its website featuring their own ciders as well as beers.
D’s in bottles and cans can be found in stores throughout Tri-Cities, but at the cider house you’ll find more offerings such as Cranny Granny, Cider Hammer, Blood Orange and Ginjabread Cookies. You can bring your own growler, but it will go through a sanitation bath on site first.
Pizza, breadsticks and salad also are available to go.
First responders get a 30 percent discount — this isn’t a new perk, but a discount they are highlighting more now as a thanks to the community.
D’s Wicked Cider is open 3 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Order takeout by calling 509-627-3100 or find them on DoorDash. Ask about delivery as well.
