Get a taste of this new wine bar in Kennewick

Shawn Harmon, left, and his father, Dan, maneuver a 12-foot wooden wine bar through the doors of the Gordon Estate Tasting Room at the newly constructed building at the Columbia Gardens Wine & Artisan Village on Columbia Drive in Kennewick.

Jeff Gordon, center, and his wife, Vicki, hold the doors open for the 400-pound rolling tasting bar.

Gordon Estate is one of two wineries preparing to open tasting rooms in the newest phase of the Port of Kennewick project on East Columbia Drive in Kennewick.

The $1.5 building features large clock tower, a dual facing fireplace and separate outdoor patios near the food truck plaza.

It’s expected to open by Spring Barrel Tasting in April, said Tana Bader Inglima, deputy CEO for the port.

Shawn Harmon and Jessica Gilmour, at right, are the co-owners of The Rustic Barrel in Benton City, specializing in making furniture and other pieces from wine barrels.
