Tri-Cities Wine Festival under way in Kennewick

The annual Tri-Cities Wine Festival is under way this week at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.

Much of it is closed to the general public, but next week a gala public tasting event is from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 12. Guests will sample wines submitted to the competition and food and microbrews produced in the Tri-Cities.

There is a silent auction to support wine-related education. This year’s event includes more than 425 wines submitted by 87 wineries. Tickets are $65 at the door. Go to tricitieswinesociety.com for details.
