Why Watching Birds Provides Valuable Mental Enrichment for Indoor Cats
If you've had a cat or you spend any time watching them as you scroll on social media, you've probably come to realize that they love to watch birds, and it's fun to watch cats watch birds. Experts say that kitties watching birds is more than just something they do; it's really important for their overall health.
According to KatKin, cats love to watch birds because it's instinctive, makes them think, and provides mental stimulation. Cats analyze the movements of the birds, and that's entertainment for them, like watching TV is for us, which KatKin calls "brain yoga" for cats. It keeps their brains sharp and themselves happy, so it's really good for them.
If you've got an indoor kitty, having somewhere they can watch the birds through a window or toys, or even on TV, is going to bring them so much joy. And you, too, because it's cute to watch them analyze in their brains.
