Rare Black Golden Retriever Puppy Looks Like a Toasty Marshmallow
Some puppies are not planned, and that's how we end up with some of the most interesting mixes in the world, like the Frenchie-Doodle. Though accidental puppies should be prevented whenever possible, the best thing you can do if they are born is care for them responsibly.
One dog mom is doing exactly that, but her puppy is especially cute. She has a black Golden Retriever puppy, and he honestly looks like a tiny burnt marshmallow:

According to Taylor Eden, this puppy is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a "Cow Dog," which is another name for the Australian Cattle Dog. Now, they ended up with a litter of little black puppies who just look like Golden Retrievers!
Though it's not clear how many puppies were actually in the litter, these puppies are lucky: before they find their loving forever homes, they'll spend some time on Taylor's farm. Maybe their dad can even teach them how to herd!

There haven't been any more videos of the puppies posted yet: it's best to let them grow up without shoving cameras in their faces all the time. However, if you want to learn more about who the puppies might grow up to be, just look at this video of Mom:

Basically, they're going to grow up to be clingy babies. That's exactly the kind of behavior that has Golden Retrievers so sought after to begin with: Velcro dogs are unlike any other kind of dog.
What Are Golden Retriever Mixes Like?
There are a ton of Golden Retriever mixes in the world, but one thing about them is that they're always going to behave, in some capacity, like Golden Retrievers. Even if they have black fur and look like little toasty marshmallows!
Golden Retriever mixes are typically very high-energy, and because of the Golden Retriever's long, silky coat, they can sometimes be a lot to groom. Golden Doodles, for example, are widely regarded as having some of the toughest coats to keep up with.
However, most Golden Retriever mixes are also:
- Smart.
- Playful.
- Loving.
- Clingy, but they also enjoy independent playtime.
Exactly the kind of dog they'll become depends on their other parent breed, but more often than not, they're bred with something equally smart and playful. I hope these little puppies have the happiest, healthiest lives!
