Knicks Parade Gone Wild: Mike Brown Karaoke, Chick-fil-A Delivery, Marriages, & More

All eyes are on the Big Apple, and rightfully so, as New Yorkers pulled together to celebrate the New York Knicks' 2026 NBA championship in the celebratory parade on Thursday, June 18. Before the festivities, there was lots of speculation on just how the Knicks fans would celebrate this epic win, 53 years in the making. After all, if the scene in New York City immediately after the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 on June 13 was any indication, would-be parade attendees and viewers at home likely expected a very enthusiastic crowd at the least, and pure chaos at the most.

Well, people don't have to wonder any longer how the Knicks' Parade will turn out. Thankfully, by and large, things appeared less chaotic during the daytime. However, New York City being New York City, there were still plenty of wild scenes to behold during the event. From Knicks coach Mike Brown breaking out into song to a random Chick-fil-A delivery in a sea of people to even a marriage after a 50-plus-year engagement, there was a lot to behold.

Mike Brown Breaks into "Who Let the Dogs Out"

If you haven't heard by now, one way in which Brown helped hype up the Knicks for games was by leading a chant of the classic Baha Men hit, "Who Let the Dogs Out." Fast forward to the parade, and before it officially got started, Brown saw a crowd of fans gathered around the team bus taking the Knicks to the parade. Likely feeling the energy from the fans, he broke out into the hit song, and they joined him.

Who Orders Food Delivery in the Middle of a Parade?

Not to sound offensive in the least bit, but it seems like only in New York City would a person order food delivery in the middle of a parade with a ton of people, and the food actually be delivered. It seems almost jaw-dropping to watch, but someone ordered Chick-fil-A as the parade was going on, and delivery persons made their way through a sea of people to drop it off. The fast-food chain's waffle fries are good, but wow.

Knicks Parade Brings about a Marriage after 53 Years

Getting engaged the same year as the Knicks won their last championship, and actually getting married to coincide with the team's new championship, is quite the interesting choice. While a 53-year engagement may not work for some, it works for this duo, and I'm happy for them. They even opted to get married in Knicks colors.

Zohran Mamdani and Karl-Anthony Towns hit the "Lean"

Back in 2004, rapper Fat Joe, Remy Ma, and Terror Squad teamed up for the classic rap song "Lean Back." The track prompted listeners to hit the infamous Lean dance. Well, Mayor Zohran Mamdani of New York City broke out into the dance move alongside Knicks starter, Karl-Anthony Towns, in the middle of the parade.

Josh Hart's Wife Gets Justice for Jalen Brunson

Having played college ball together at Villanova University, both playing and winning a championship for the Knicks, and co-hosting the YouTube series Roommates Show, you could say Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson have spent a lot of time together and are great friends. Their brotherly bond was recently on display as the Knicks were hoisting up their championship trophy in San Antonio, and Hart played a subtle trick on Brunson, as seen in the clip below.

Jumping back to the parade, it appears Hart's wife, Shannon, gets some payback for Brunson on her own husband. She pulls a move on Josh that hilariously leaves him shocked.

Once again, congrats to the Knicks and the entire city of New York on a well-deserved championship win.
