New 'Grand Theft Auto 6' Trailer Revealed, Pre-Order Date Confirmed

It has been a long while since fans have heard any news regarding the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6 later this year. Finally, a new but very brief trailer has been released, and the November release date is looking more likely by the day.

Released on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel (and also on its social media accounts), the new 32-second trailer has revealed the official cover art for the game, and also the day fans can start to pre-order the game.

The official cover art resembles the classic GTA cover art designs of the past entries in the franchise, being divided into nine segments that go clockwise around the main logo in the middle. The segments feature various characters and elements from the game, like a helicopter chase, main protagonists Jason and Lucia, and even an alligator, which fits the setting of the game, being Vice City and the surrounding areas, inspired by real-life Miami, FL.

There is a heavy use of purple throughout, resembling previously released key art.

At the end of the trailer, the pre-order date was revealed to be Thursday, June 25, 2026. There were no pre-order bonuses confirmed in the trailer.

There has been much discussion and debate among virtually the entire industry regarding the release of GTA 6, with many publishers refusing to release their games in November, under the assumption that GTA 6 will be one of the largest entertainment launches in history.

While this is a very brief trailer and only a little new information was revealed (especially after only getting two trailers for the game across multiple years at this point), a pre-order date seems to indicate the game is indeed going to release on time.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
