Verizon's FIFA World Cup Partnership Makes Dreams Come True and You Can Still Benefit

On June 15, I had the pleasure of attending the epic FIFA World Cup Match between Spain and Cape Verde, courtesy of Verizon. The telecommunications and technology giant wanted me to see firsthand the experience that roughly 2,500 customers are partaking in, thanks to Verizon's previous giveaway.

From the moment I arrived at Atlanta Stadium (aka Mercedes-Benz Stadium), the energy of the crowd was electrifying. While most were there to support World Cup favorites Spain, Cape Verde certainly had a fanbase that shockingly outmatched the supportive chants from the top team. And the nation of Cape Verde and general supporters of underdogs had every reason to celebrate as they kept Spain from scoring a single point, in an impressive defensive effort led by goalkeeper Vozinha.

Outside of a thrilling match, what made Verizon's experience so special was the fact that I got to meet a few fortunate Verizon customers with tickets, who were equally excited to be there. Take, for example, 10-year-old Bailey DeWitt, who won a ticket alongside her mother, Susanna. Both are big soccer fans, and Susanna had been searching for a ticket to a World Cup match, only to be discouraged by the pricetag. She credits Verizon for making a dream become a reality for her and her child.

And the cherry on top of the cake was all of us having the Pitchside Access. Being on the field, just mere feet away from the Spanish and Cape Verdean players, was something kind of special. Especially, given how exceptional Vozinha played and the fact that he walked right by us.

Verizon Is Giving Customers Another Shot at World Cup Tickets
