Jelly Roll dated his separation date from Bunnie XO as May, but the news held until now.
Here's what you need to know about the family and kids of Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO.
Jelly Roll Explained That It 'Takes a Special Kind of Woman to Raise a Kid That Isn't Her Child'
Jelly Roll explained in an emotional Facebook post that Bunnie XO treated his daughter Bailee as if she was her own.
In 2020, Jelly Roll shared a photo showing Bailee Ann with Bunnie XO and him and wrote, "It takes a special kind of woman to raise a kid that isn't her child and still treat the child as if she was. Bunnie is that special woman, outside of the social media, outside of the podcast, and all the business endeavors she does and helps me with, Bunnie is a beautiful soul."
Jelly Roll added: "She is kind, patient, and caring. Over the years watching her relationship with Bailee blossom into this beautiful mother daughter bond that it has become has been nothing short of magical." He referred to her as "Mama Bear."
Jelly Rolly and Bunnie XO were also trying to have a biological child together in the months before the divorce action.
According to Penn Live, "Over the past year, Bunnie revealed that she was on an IVF journey as the couple tried to have a child together." Bunnie XO, who is a social media influencer with millions of followers, indicated on her podcast that she was hoping to have a biological child with Jelly Roll.
"I've helped raise Bailee since she was 7, and I think that also showed me that, hey, I'm not gonna (expletive) up a kid's life too badly," she said. "But I feel like I've mastered … not mastered, but I feel like I can do this. You know? And I just want a little piece of J and I together."
Jelly Roll's Son Is Named Noah Buddy DeFord
Jelly Roll's son is named Noah Buddy DeFord, and his dad announced his birth in August 25, 2016. As a complicating factor, that's the same month that he married girlfriend Bunnie XO, who is not the biological mother of Noah.
"Welcome to Earth," he wrote with the Facebook photo and post. Noah's mother is "his ex Melisa Ann Cowell, and though they weren't in a romantic relationship for long - as Bunnie XO and Jelly were married the same month and year they welcomed Noah," according to The List, which adds, "Jelly and Cowell seem to be on good terms to this day." Some sites spell Noah's mother's name as Melissa Ann Cowell.
However, Noah integrated into Jelly Roll's family life with Bunnie XO, according to numerous posts on social media showing them together. Jelly Roll also appears to be very present in the boy's life, appearing with him on the red carpet in February of 2025 when the boy was 9-years-old, according to E! Online.
"Family Time- Noah Buddy DeFord and Bailee Ann DeFord! She's so happy to be a big sister! I've seen it all and nothing compares to this!" Jelly Roll wrote in 2016 with a photo of him holding Noah as a baby with his daughter looking on.
Jelly Roll's Daughter Is Named Bailee Ann DeFord
Jelly Roll's daughter is named Bailee Ann DeFord. According to People, Jelly Roll was serving time for drug dealing when his daughter was born to former girlfriend Felicia Beckwith, and he has stated that the girl's birth changed his life for the better.
Bunnie XO has referred to herself as a parent in posts about Bailee over the years. "I could no longer be selfish. There was something that was solely relying on me," Jelly Roll told 105.7 The Point in 2022. "I knew that that was an important task. So I wanted to take it seriously. And I did. I take it very seriously to this day."
Bailee was born in 2008. "A guard knocks on my cell door midafternoon during lockdown. He goes, ‘You had a kid today,' " Jelly Roll told Billboard. "I've never had nothing in life that urged me in the moment to know that I had to do something different. I have to figure this out right now." Bailee wants to study law, according to People.
According to People, Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll obtained custody of Bailee. "I had an extra, interesting, traumatic childhood. Bunnie did, my dad did. They're important reasons for why my mom is in my life now and is sober," Bailee said on the Huludocumentary, Jelly Roll: Save Me. "As a teenager, I've moved on."
"I learned a powerful lesson as a parent this week," Bunnie wrote with one Instagram video. "Bailee has always hated school dances. But because J and I never went to ours, we've always pushed her: ‘Go make memories. Go have the experiences we missed.'" In that video, she referred to Bailee as "our girl."
Over the years, Bailee has opened up about addiction and her mother's experiences with drugs.
