Video Captures Fatal Helicopter Collision in Brazil, Killing Singer Oliver Tree and Five Others
Videos and pictures circulating on social media appears to show the helicopter collision that claimed the life of singer Oliver Tree and five others in Brazil on Sunday.
The footage shows two helicopters flying through a gray, overcast sky moments before they appear to collide in mid-air. Seconds later, both aircrafts begin falling toward the ground.
The video then shows the helicopters crashing into a parking lot area, where a massive fireball erupts on impact. Thick black smoke can be seen rising into the sky as emergency crews rush to respond.
According to reports, the crash occurred in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro's western zone. Authorities say all six people aboard one of the helicopters were killed.
