A man serenaded a tiger at a rescue in Normandy, France, and his reaction even shocked the singer.

In a video posted to TikTok, French singer-songwriter Loris Assadian, known as Plumes online, sang Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" for a tiger at the Caresse de Tigre sanctuary. In the video, Assadian sang the song to the tiger while inside the sanctuary with him, playing it on an acoustic guitar.

The tiger approached the man slowly and curiously as he continued to sing for him. At one point, the tiger rubbed his chin on the guitar before he sat down and listened to Assadian's singing.

People in the comments were absolutely taken aback by the tiger's response to his singing, with users gushing over the big cat's reaction.

"Tigers are very solitary animals," one person wrote. The fact that it lay next to him is amazing."

"He said, 'I'll just take this front row seat,' " Another person added on. Others commented on the "sweet" moment and loved how calm the tiger seemed around him.

"A chuffing tiger is a very happy one," another person pointed out. "Whatever you do, don't stop singing!!!"

Another added that, "Because tigers cannot purr, they use this soft, rhythmic puff of air through their nose as a way to show affection, signal non-threatening intent, or greet familiar people & mates ."

In the caption, Plumes also didn't hide his own surprise over the tiger's reaction to his singing and playing and wrote: "So that was insane.. Thank you @Tigres et Lions en Normandie for having me!"

All About Plumes' Serenades

This isn't the singer-songwriter's first time serenading the animals. Plumes has previously gone viral for singing to the animals and their responses, which have shocked and delighted the internet.

Back in May, Plumes sang Harry Styles' "Coming Up Roses" to a lioness, and their reaction went viral when she called her other lioness friends over to listen to his singing as well. Along with tigers and lionesses, he's sang to other animals, including cows, rhinos, and more.

In an interview with AMFM Magazine, Plumes revealed he began singing to animals back in 2022 in the French countryside, and hasn't stopped since.

"I read somewhere that cows like music, that it's soothing to them," he told the outlet. He first sang to a herd of cows, and "They were super receptive" to his songs. "They gathered around, some even rubbed against me. It was magical."
