'Slow Horses' Season 6 Gets First-Look Photos and Release Date on Apple TV
It's a strange, strange game, indeed. Apple TV blessed us with five first-look photos and a release date for its critically lauded espionage drama, Slow Horses, as it barrels full-steam ahead into Season 6. Adapting the sixth and seventh books from Mick Herron's Slough House series, Joe Country and Slough House, respectively, the equal parts darkly humorous and thrilling show will return this year.
Here's a brief logline per Apple TV: "Season 6 sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge."
The new season stars Sir Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Joanna Scanlan as Moira Tregorian, Samuel West as Peter Judd, Ruth Bradley as Emma Flyte, Tom Brooke as JK Coe, Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright, and Hugo Weaving as Frank Harkness, alongside new addition Lenny Rush.
Slow Horses is produced for Apple TV by See-Saw Films, with Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Adam Randall, Gail Mutrux, Douglas Urbanski, and Oldman serving as executive producers. Season 6 is adapted for television by co-executive producer Gaby Chiappe, with Randall returning to direct.
Brace yourself for more comedic thrills and spy blunders when Slow Horses Season 6 premieres on Sept. 16, 2026, on Apple TV. New episodes will air weekly until the season finale on Oct. 21.
