When it comes to dogs, size doesn't always dictate temperament or personality. Some of the biggest, most "intimidating" pups can be the most gentle souls, even when taking a treat from your hand.

One American Bully recently put this theory to the test. When Mom offered a blueberry from her bowl, this precious pooch accepted her gift in the sweetest way possible.

Reggie, the American Bully, takes "gentle" to another realm as he delicately sniffs the fruit, then opens his mouth with the utmost care and consideration for Mom's fingers. When she lets go, he's no rougher than before and chews the tiny bite like it's his job to show the world there's so much more to this breed than being a giant.

Known on TikTok to his more than 25k followers, "Reggie 'Chonk,' the American Bully

[with] Pixar eyes" is here "to spread joy and make you smile." I'd say he absolutely nailed it because he has to be the sweetest boy in all the land. And those precious peepers sure are swoon-worthy!

Saying Reggie is a big fan of blueberries is an understatement. This good boy loves sharing Mom's fruit and how well he can accept a bite. One look into those huge, heartfelt eyes, and it's obvious how special Reggie truly is.

Blueberries are a yummy summertime treat and a great healthy option for pups like Reggie. I doubt there are very many pups who look quite as adorable eating them, though!

American Bullies Look Tough, but They're Gentle Giants

As a dog under the Pit Bull umbrella, some might take one look at Reggie and cast judgment, if only because of his size, muscular shape, and/or pre-conceived stigmas against Bully breeds. I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and he wouldn't hurt a fly! If anything, a fly would terrify him, and he'd come running for comfort.

Bully breed dogs aren't typically aggressive or scary. They're actually the opposite and beloved by many who consider them:

  • Affectionate
  • Loyal
  • Patient
  • Gentle
  • People-oriented
  • Loving
  • Amazing family pets, especially with children

With the right socialization and enough physical exercise to channel their energy reserves, American Bullies make some pretty stellar, fiercely devoted companions. When in doubt, offer them a blueberry, and you'll see they're just as kind and gentle as Reggie is.
