Leatherheads Starring George Clooney Arrives on Netflix July 1
George Clooney's acting resume is well-known, but in 2002, the acclaimed performer expanded his repertoire into filmmaking, directing and starring in the movie Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
Six years later, Universal Pictures released Leatherheads, a sports comedy that Clooney directed, produced and starred in. The film, which also featured Renee Zellweger, Jonathan Pryce and John Krasinski, achieved modest success at the box office, grossing $41.3 million against its $58 million budget.
Next month, Netflix audiences will get a chance to stream Leatherheads, according to a report from What's on Netflix.

What's on Netflix's Kasey Moore says Leatherheadswill arrive on the platform July 1, alongside several others movies, including Gone Girl, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Enola Holmes 3.
"In the scrappy, early days of 1920s professional football, a charming team owner tries to legitimize his struggling league by recruiting a celebrated college star, only to clash with a sharp-witted journalist determined to expose the young player's war record," Moore's synopsis reads.

Clooney plays Jimmy "Dodge" Connelly, the captain of the fictional Duluth Bulldogs, with Krasinski as Carter "the Bullet" Rutherford, the aforementioned college star from Princeton enlisted to help revitalize the team.
Lexie Littleton (Zellweger) is the bulldog reporter attempting to expose Rutherford, with Pryce, Peter Gerety, Stephen Root, Jack Thompson, Wayne Duvall and others playing major roles.
Clooney has said that the film is loosely based on the exploits of early NFL star Johnny "Blood" McNally.
Leatherheads owns a 53% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, along with a 2.8/5 grade on Letterboxd. The film is graded slightly higher on IMDb, where it rates 6/10.
Currently, Leatherheads is available for free on YouTube, as well as with a YouTube TV subscription. It can also be purchased for $3.99 on Google Play, Fandango, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
