A dog mom played her dog's favorite song on the radio, and her reaction was priceless!
In a video posted to TikTok, the dog mom sat with her sweet Cocker Spaniel, Coco, and Harry Styles's song "Woman" playing on the radio. The moment the song began, the pup lit up and howled along with the lyrics. Throughout the car ride, Coco continued to howl along with the song and couldn't contain her joy while it played.
@naomihege When I first got her at 10 weeks old I was driving her around trying to get her adjusted to the car and as a Harry styles fan of course I was playing this album, and she started howling and ever since then, she loves to sing when this song comes on! She knows it from the first beat!!!! @HSHQ #cockerspaniel#woman#harrystyles#hs1#dog

What do dogs really think about music?
Dogs are well known to have a keen sense of hearing, but what do we know about how music affects dogs?
According to the Animal Medical Center, dogs "perceive music differently than we do" because of how they hear. In fact, a study conducted by Sound behaviorist Janet Marlow of Pet Acoustics found that "the Pet Acoustics music caused physiological and behavioral changes indicating a calmer state for dogs."
In another study of dogs conducted back in 2017, researchers also tested what kind of music dogs would prefer and studied "the effect of different genres of music on the stress levels of kennelled dogs."
In the study, researchers found that "dogs spend significantly more time lying and significantly less time standing when music was played, regardless of genre," and they were "more likely to bark when music stopped playing."
