Netflix Reveals Most-Watched Movie - And It's Not Close
This week Netflix released its list of the most-watched movies on the platform. The rankings are based on the total global views in the film's first 91 days on the service.
"On Netflix, it takes a specific combination of intriguing premises, thrilling storytelling, and must-see stars. And a bonus element, like a surprising cameo or an earworm original song, doesn't seem to hurt either," Netflix wrote.
The latter helped animated film KPop Demon Hunters to dominate the summer after its release in June 2025.
'KPop Demon Hunters' Claims Top Spot on Netflix's Most Watched List
Netflix's most-watched movie was the instant animated classic that dominated the Billboard charts and the top awards shows.
It was the first film soundtrack to have four songs in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously and ended up going double platinum. The film, meanwhile, won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Golden") at the Golden Globes and the Oscars.
"The animated film follows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey - members of the superstar girl group HUNTR/X, who sell out stadiums and secretly hunt down demons," Netflix wrote in its list of the 10 most-watched movies.
"Their latest enemy, a charming boy band of demons in disguise, threatens to take down the barrier they've built to protect the world from supernatural forces. The 2025 movie - and its catchy original songs - went up, up, up to the top of the list, earning 325.1 million views."

KPop Demon Hunters claimed the top spot, but there are plenty of other hits on the list. The gap between No. 1 and No. 2, though, was nearly 100 million views, showing just how big of a hit Netflix's No. 1 was.

- Red Notice (230.9 million views)
- Carry-On (172.1 million views)
- Don't Look Up (171.4 million views)

- Back in Action (147.2 million views)
- Leave the World Behind (143.4 million views)
- The Gray Man (139.3 million views)
- War Machine (139 million views)
War Machine is also headed for a sequel.
