Summer Premieres To Watch Out For This June

Summer officially begins with the return of several beloved series and the debut of new shows. Here are the most anticipated premieres to watch out for this June.

America's Got Talent Season 21 (NBC): June 2

America's Got Talent has been running the summer for 20 years. The NBC reality competition will feature hopefuls from all across the nation aiming for their shot at headlining a Las Vegas stage show and a $1 million prize. Returning as judges are Simon Cowell, Mel B, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel, with Terry Crews returning as the host. The format is the same as previous seasons, but with the "Judges' Callback," a new addition that gives acts who did not make it through to the live shows a second chance.

Password Season 3 (NBC): June 2

Jimmy Fallon and Keke Palmer are back for Season 3 of Password. A reboot of the old game show, NBC invites celebrity guest stars to pair up with players in order to guess the "password" based on limited clues. The winners have a chance to win cash prizes. Season 3 boasts stars like Alan Cumming, Savannah Guthrie, Ice T, and more.

Love Island USA Season 8 (Peacock): June 2

Love Island USA returns for its eighth season. Last season, it was the most-watched streaming original TV show, according to Variety. This season introduces new bombshells, with Ariana Madix as host. Following the premiere week, episodes will air daily, except Wednesdays and Saturdays. Aftersun will air on Saturdays instead.

Not Suitable For Work (Hulu): June 2

Not Suitable For Work is the latest project from Emmy Award-winner Mindy Kaling, known for coming-of-age series such as Never Have I Ever and Sex Lives of College Girls. The story follows recent college graduates as they navigate life in New York. The cast features Ella Hunt, Avantika, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay and more. The first three episodes release June 2, with subsequent episodes released in pairs weekly.

Cape Fear (Apple TV): June 5

Produced by Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese, Cape Fear stars Amy Adams and Javier Bardem. The miniseries follows the Bowden family and Max Cady, who seeks revenge. Based on The Executioner, which inspired the 1962 and 1991 film adaptations, episodes will release weekly.

Vampire Lestat (AMC): June 7

Season 3 of Interview with the Vampire is titled Vampire Lestat. The show centers on Sam Reid's Lestat de Lioncourt as he becomes a rock star and continues following the tumultuous relationship between Lestat and Louis (Jacob Anderson). Audiences will also get to see more of Daniel Malloy (Eric Bogosian) as a newly turned vampire, continuing from Season 2.

American Ninja Warrior Season 18 (NBC): June 8

Competitors will test their strength and endurance with this popular reality competition show. The season premiere will kick off the western region qualifying rounds.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 5 (Starz): June 12

Raising Kanan, the third series in the Power universe, follows a young Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis) as he enters the drug trade. Following a dramatic cliffhanger in Season 4, the final season premieres June 12.

House of the Dragon Season 3 (HBO Max): June 21

Season 3 continues where Season 2 concluded, with an all-out war. Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke star as Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, leaders of rival families vying for power in Westeros. New episodes will air Sundays on HBO Max.

The Agency Season 2 (Paramount +): June 21

The remake of the French spy thriller returns for a second season, with Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterson, and Richard Gere expected to reprise their roles. All 10 episodes release on Paramount+ June 21.

The Bear Season 5 (Hulu): June 25

The Bear's fifth and final season will be released June 25, with all eight episodes available on Hulu. The new season follows a surprise flashback episode, "Gary," released on May 5.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 (Netflix): June 25

Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 adapts Book Two: Earth from the original animated series. Avatar Aang, portrayed by Gordon Cormier, enters the Earth Kingdom and seeks Toph, played by Miya Cech, to learn earth-bending. All episodes are available on Netflix starting June 25.

Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness (HBO Max): June 26

Starring comedianLarry David and President Barack Obama, Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness is a comedy sketch show exploring different historical events. According to the official logline, "President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America's 250th anniversary and celebrate the unique history of our nation on this special occasion...But then Larry David called."
