Netflix Announces Season 3 Release Date for America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

Netflix began its America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders series in June 2024. The seven-episode first season was successful enough that the company debuted a follow-up installation in June 2025.

Now, the show, which is guided byEmmy Award–winning director Greg Whiteley, is back for a third go-around. Netflix just announced the upcoming release date, set for later this month.

When will Season 3 of America's Sweethearts premier?

The new season drops in two weeks, on Monday, June 16, Netflix revealed. The company also dropped a trailer for the upcoming episodes and released an official synopsis.

"This season follows the 2025–26 squad from high-pressure auditions and training camp all the way through the NFL season, continuing to offer candid, behind-the-scenes access to one of sports' most iconic teams," the synopsis reads. "With thirty veterans returning to auditions, only six coveted spots remain for hopeful newcomers, raising the bar for talent."

"As the DCC's global profile grows, the women at the center of it must handle a new level of attention. With incredible opportunities-the first DCC tour, marquee appearances, and growing social media platforms-comes heightened scrutiny and demand for perfection. Against the backdrop of stadium performances and viral moments, the team leans on each other to navigate the spotlight and define their DCC legacies."

According to Kasey Moore of What's on Netflix, the third season of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will consist of seven episodes, like the first two editions did. Each episode will run for approximately 55 minutes.

Is this the end of the series?

That remains to be seen. Netflix has not renewed America's Sweethearts for a fourth installment, and as Moore says, the second season of the show failed to capture audiences the way the first one did.

Any chance for renewal will "largely depend on the third season's performance," Moore theorized.
