Possible Spoiler on WWE's Long-Term Plans and Feuds for Roman Reigns

With the Night of Champions and SummerSlam pay-per-views just around the corner, WWE fans won't have to wait long to learn of Roman Reigns' next opponent.

Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu at Clash in Italy on Sunday to retain his World Heavyweight Championship title. Fatu had also unsuccessfully challenged Reigns for his title at Backlash on May 9.

Night of Champions will be held on June 27 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. SummerSlam takes place during the Aug. 1-2 weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

During the latest episode of "Self Made Sessions" (h/t WrestlingInc.com), Ibou reported that Seth Rollins and Oba Femi are lined up as future opponents for Reigns.

According to Ibou, WWE's plan is for Rollins (Reigns' former ally in The Shield) to win the King of the Ring tournament and face Reigns for the title at SummerSlam, while Femi will face Brock Lesnar in a rubber match.

Ibou also reports that unless The Rock returns for a dream match, Femi will face Reigns at WrestleMania 43.

"I was told one match is gonna be at SummerSlam, the other one is gonna be at WrestleMania, unless Dwayne ("The Rock" Johnson) decides to wrestle at Saudi," Ibou said. "Right now the plan is for Seth Rollins to win the tournament and face Roman Reigns."

The King of the Ring tournament final will be held at Night of Champions.

Roman Reigns Has Headlined Five SummerSlam PPVs

The Tribal Chief is no stranger to taking center stage at SummerSlam. He has headlined the marquee pay-per-view five times, most recently the 2023 edition.

Reigns defeated Jey Uso via pinfall in a Tribal Combat match to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He has won four of his five SummerSlam main event bouts, with the only loss coming in 2017, when Lesnar retained his title in a fatal four-way bout.
