Pro Cleaner Reveals Her No. 1 Tip to Make Your Home Sparkle
On the home cleaning corner of TikTok (or, as it's better known, CleanTok), professional cleaners often share their best tips and tricks for making a house truly sparkle.
And in a recent video by California-based cleaning company CasaCleaning By Carrillo LLC (@casacleaningcarrillo), a professional home cleaner shared a few of her best tips for cleaning stubborn stains and dirt around the house - and her video has more than 5.7 million views.
As I watched the video, I realized that all of the tips she shared had a step in common - and it involves a product that you definitely already have in your house.
This Professional Cleaner Uses Dish Soap All Around the House
In CasaCleaning By Carrillo's TikTok video, every cleaning method she details has a common ingredient: dish soap.
In fact, spraying dish soap is an important step in each of the below three tricks.
Though CasaCleaning By Carrillo recommends using Dawn dish soap, I personally prefer using dish soap by either ECOS or Attitude. Unlike dawn, ECOS and Attitude's dish soaps are cruelty-free, vegan and made with non-toxic ingredients. Plus, in my experience, they both have fantastic cleaning power! For the below hacks, just mix your dish liquid of choice with some water in a spray bottle.

To Clean Greasy Kitchen Cabinets and Surfaces
If your kitchen cabinets have greasy build-up, start by spraying them down with LA's Totally Awesome All-Purpose Cleaner (which you can find at Dollar Tree for $1.50). Let sit for a few minutes, and then spray with a small amount of dish soap before wiping with damp cloth.
To Remove Crayon or Marker From Cabinets
If your kids colored on your walls or cabinets, you can clean it using the Pink Stuff and dish liquid. Put on rubber cleaning gloves and use your finger to gently rub the Pink Stuff paste into the crayon or marker markings. Then, spray a little dish soap and wipe the area with a lightly damp cloth.
To Remove Rust From Steel Appliances
To remove rust marks from a stainless steel stove or other appliance, apply the liquid formulation of Bar Keepers Friend to a wet, non-scratch sponge. Scrub the rust spots gently. Then, spray a small amount of dish soap and wipe the area with a cloth.
