Learning how to introduce a dog to a new puppy may seem intimidating, but two Yellow Labs recently showed everyone that it can also be a dream come true. Yellow Labrador Retriever Ellie couldn't have been sweeter as she welcomed home her mini-me, Georgie, who looks just like her.

She only became a big sister on May 23, and she's already acing it! These two yellow Labs are going to be best friends forever, and this video from proud dog dad Mark C. is the cutest proof.

Welcome home, Georgie! Her dads and big sis couldn't be more excited to have her in the family, and it's safe to say her new fans feel the same way. Luckily, the shy new puppy was quick to open up, too!

"I don't think tails could have wagged any faster," commenter @jczerwinski noticed. It's impossible to guess which sister was the happier dog! Ellie went through every joyful emotion-from curiosity to playfulness-and it was beautiful to witness.

There's no question that Mark has raised one sweet dog, but some viewers are convinced that Ellie's breed has just as much to do with her personality as her upbringing does. @Mamawags0014 wrote, "Labradors are just the best," and no one can disagree.

Not even 24 hours later, these two yellow Labs are already attached at the hip!

These doggie siblings are meant to be! Just when Ellie couldn't get any sweeter, she finds a new way to melt everyone's hearts all over again. But how can other pet parents set their own dog and puppy up for success as Mark did?

How to Introduce a Dog to a New Puppy the Right Way

The American Kennel Club recommends introducing a dog and a new puppy in a neutral space, such as a park, and then walking together into the home. Letting the older dog set the pace of the interaction can help them feel comfortable and in charge, and giving them breaks from their new sibling is a great way to ensure they're still getting enough attention.
