Is Taylor Swift in 'Toy Story 5'? Director Reveals the Truth

Toy Story 5 officially hits theaters in less than a month as Pixar's favorite characters are back for another ride on June 19.

As the anticipation builds, Pixar appeared to lean into the rumors linking Taylor Swift to the film, potentially singing the credits song - which has become a popular fan theory over the past few days.

A mysterious Toy Story 5 billboard went up with the initials ‘TS' and Andy's bedroom wallpaper, featuring 13 clouds, which is famously the Grammy-winning artist's favorite number.

Pixar posted a video of cowgirl Jessie (voiced by Joan Cusack) dancing on the billboard.

"She's making those moves up as she goes!" they wrote with the clip, quoting the lyrics of Swift's 2014 hit ‘Shake It Off'.

Is Taylor Swift in 'Toy Story 5'?

The Taylor Swift rumors eventually made their way in front of director Andrew Stanton – three days ago.

In a new interview with Khoslaa, Stanton opened up about the rumors and revealed that they are not true.

"It surprised us," he said during the interview. "We'd be frickin' honored."

Producer Lindsey Collins also said that even though Swift wasn't involved, if she was, it would "be pretty amazing."

"The sad truth is, we watched the movie being mixed last week, done, and the song on the end of that was not Taylor Swift's song," Stanton added.

The comments from Stanton came in the interview that hit YouTube three days ago. It looks like Pixar decided to lean into the rumors with the new virtual billboard and give Swifties something to cheer for.

With just over two weeks until the release of the film, it's probably too late to sneak Swift in.
