Call for artists: Muralists sought for Bridge Shelter building

May 27-The city of Vancouver invites artists or artist teams to submit proposals for murals at the new Bridge Shelter Commons Building at 5313 N.E. 94th Ave., Vancouver. This project aims to create a welcoming, dignified and uplifting environment for shelter residents, staff and the surrounding community. This is a paid project. Submissions should include a proposed budget that covers the artist's fee, design, materials, surface preparation, equipment, travel and installation. Separate submissions are required for the interior and exterior of the building. Proposals for interior murals should be submitted to cityofvancouver.us/city-managers-office/homeless/future-bridge-shelter/call-to-artists-interior-community-mural-bridge-shelter-commons-building/. Proposals for exterior murals should be sumitted to cityofvancouver.us/city-managers-office/homeless/future-bridge-shelter/call-to-artists-exterior-community-mural-bridge-shelter-commons-building/. The submission deadline is July 31.
