A cat named Frock is looking for a loving family to adopt him after his previous family abandoned him.

In a TikTok video posted by the Humane Society of Broward County in Florida, the sweet 7-year-old cat sat inside the cat cave, shyly looking into the camera while they captured him for the video. Frock eyed the camera, but didn't make any moves to come out to explore his new temporary home while he waited for adoption.

Frock's world was turned upside down, and he's still learning that he's safe again. This 7 year old tiger boy was found abandoned on our property in a carrier, left without any warning. Thankfully, he was discovered quickly, but the experience understandably left him shaken and unsure of his surroundings. Frock was originally adopted from us years ago and while we wish his story had gone differently, we're committed to helping him find the secure, loving home he truly deserves. Right now, Frock is very nervous and easily frightened. The shelter environment is overwhelming for him, and he spends much of his time tucked away where he feels protected. Loud or unfamiliar noises can startle him, and when he doesn't have a safe place to hide, he can become distressed. Beneath that fear is a gentle, affectionate cat who wants to trust. When given patience and a calm space, Frock begins to relax. He enjoys being petted and, in quieter moments, will even settle in close and lean into your touch. Once he feels a connection, he shows it in the sweetest ways, nudging your hand for more affection and staying close by your side. Frock needs a very patient, understanding home where he can move at his own pace. A quiet environment with minimal commotion will help him feel safe as he adjusts. With time, consistency, and kindness, Frock has the potential to blossom into a deeply devoted companion. He's been through a lot, but he hasn't given up on people. Now he just needs someone who won't give up on him. His adoption fee has already been covered by his friends at @jrdunnjewelers All he needs now is a family. Please come meet Frock at the Humane Society of Broward County, located at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale. The adoption department opens daily at 11 a.m., or you can complete a pre-adoption application on our website.

In the text overlay, the shelter revealed that "it's hard for visitors to see Frock because he hid inside the cat cave most of the time. They also noted that people "wouldn't know he's a sweetheart" because he's so shy.

In the video's caption, the organization also revealed that part of the reason he's so shy is that "Frock's world was turned upside down, and he's still learning that he's safe again ."

"This 7-year-old tiger boy was found abandoned on our property in a carrier, left without any warning ," they continued. "Thankfully, he was discovered quickly, but the experience understandably left him shaken and unsure of his surroundings."

The shelter also revealed that Frock was previously adopted "years ago" and, while he ended up back at the shelter, "we're committed to helping him find the secure, loving home he truly deserves ."

Because of his stressful experience, Frock is "very nervous and easily frightened," and " The shelter environment is overwhelming for him, and he spends much of his time tucked away where he feels protected."

"Beneath that fear is a gentle, affectionate cat who wants to trust," they added. "When given patience and a calm space, Frock begins to relax."

When he feels connected to someone, Frock will "show it in the sweetest ways, nudging your hand for more affection and staying close by your side." He also enjoys "being petted and, in quieter moments, will even settle in close and lean into your touch."

Despite the hardship he's been through, Frock "hasn't given up on people" and "he just needs someone who won't give up on him."
