Dollar Tree and Dollar General Have the Best Kitchen Organization Finds
A cluttered kitchen can easily leave you stressed out, especially when it’s time to cook! So I’m always on the lookout for new ways to maximize my kitchen storage without having to shell out. I visited two popular dollar store chains (Dollar Tree and Dollar General) to see what solutions they had for everything from messy container lids to overcrowded cabinets—and the finds did not disappoint! Ready to get your kitchen orderly on a budget? Learn more below about the clever dollar store kitchen organization items I discovered for under $10.
Dollar Tree kitchen organizing finds
Glass jars
I love using clear containers to store snacks and ingredients, so finding these pieces at Dollar Tree was a treat. The dollar store has a wide variety of glass jars with lids in so many charming styles, and each one can be used for storing everything from sugar packets to dried pantry goods.
The best part? The price! I was shocked to see these glass jars that look high end were just $1.50 a piece.
Napkin holder
As soon as I saw this $1.25 Dollar Tree find, I knew it was a kitchen organization must-have! Though it’s advertised as a napkin holder, it has a lot of potential. Tuck it away in a cabinet to hold all of those loose plastic container lids or repurpose it as a holder for a small pot lid. You can’t go wrong!
Cabinet shelf
I’m always looking to maximize cabinet storage, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Dollar Tree has its very own budget-friendly cabinet shelf. For just $1.50, you can instantly add a handy shelf that will make it easier to grab dishes and other kitchen staples in a flash.
Plastic two-stack tray
Here’s another way to make the most of vertical space: The dollar store’s plastic two-stack tray ($6). It would be perfect for a pantry in my opinion, opening up even more space to organize small canned and boxed goods.
Dollar General kitchen organizing finds
Utensil crock
A utensil crock is one of the easiest ways to free up drawer space, and I spotted two delightful options at Dollar General that won’t break the bank. Look for this vibrant $8 piece or the melamine crock ($3) from the new xo Holly by Holly Williams line that gives major shabby chic vibes.
Fridge bins
A visit down the storage aisle led me to these gems! They come in several sizes—starting at just $3.50—to help you outsmart chaos inside your fridge even when it’s stocked full of groceries. The store also sells plastic can dispensers ($6.50) as a stylish way to hold soda cans. These stylish bins rival similar bins that sell for nearly $20 each at The Container Store!
Container storage
After giving my pantry an organizational overhaul this winter, I quickly learned how pricey food-storage containers can be. Imagine my surprise when I discovered Dollar General sells its own version under the TrueLiving brand for a cheaper price than the well-known Better Homes & Gardens and OXO Good Grips containers. You’ll find these air-tight containers in three sizes for $5, $8 and $10.
Spice turntable
Avid home cooks will adore this turntable that allows you to keep all of your spice jars in one place. I especially appreciate the clear design that ensures you can find the right spice in seconds—no more digging through a packed pantry shelf! You can pick up this handy piece for just $6.50.
No matter which part of your kitchen needs a little love, these dollar store finds prove that getting organized doesn’t have to drain your wallet. My trips to Dollar General and Dollar Tree showed me that with a little creativity and some smart shopping, it’s easy to transform even the most cluttered kitchen into a functional space.
