This Parrot Learning It's Time for Bed Is Way Too Relatable

For many adults, getting to go to bed is a highly-sought after experience. Unfortunately, for kids and pets, this isn't always the case. While some pets are more than happy to head to bed (even hours early if possible), some are a little less enthusiastic about the idea.

One of those latter pets is Hamlet the parrot. Thanks to his human, Bridgit, Hamlet finds out the hard way that it's time to wrap things up and go to bed. The problem is that Hamlet doesn't want to go to bed. In fact, the beautiful parrot is so upset that he offers quite a bit of resistance to his human, who unfortunately doesn't budge. No matter how late it is, Hamlet is confused, a little hurt, and hungry.

"The Way He Turned Got Me Laughing So Hard"

Almost like a scene straight out of The Office, Hamlet's tantrum upon learning it's time for bed has the internet in absolute stitches. As one user summarized, "The way he turned got me laughing so hard." With over 70,000 views and over 6,500 likes, Hamlet's comedic timing is sublime.

Despite his human reminding him that it was late and time for bed, Hamlet reminds everyone that he has no concept of time. That is, until it's time for a treat. Looking straight at the camera, Hamlet looks to his internet fans for some help on convincing his human to let him stay up later, or at the very least, for a little bedtime snack.

"The way he turned his head like, 'can you believe this!' Check in later for more from the Hamlet stories! I bid thee good evening!" added one commenter.

Another user joked, "Hamlet's job application for a part in The Office with the way he snaps back to look towards the camera."

"HE will demand snacks at every bedtime now...even if you don't have them LOL," commented one user.

While Hamlet claims he doesn't understand time, he does know that snacks are always required. In fact, his human even clarified with the caption, "A snack will be available at bedtime."

Although it seems like Hamlet had absolutely no intention of going to sleep, we do have to admit that his negotiation skills at least earned him a treat, something he definitely can't complain about.
