'Emily in Paris' To End With Season 6 at Netflix

Say "au revoir" to a certain Netflix comedy-drama. Per Variety, the mega-popular Emily in Paris is ending with its upcoming sixth season. The news comes hot on the heels of the streamer renewing the Lily Collins-led series in January.

Premiering on Oct. 2, 2020, on Netflix, the logline reads thus:

"Emily, an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago, unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris. Her new life is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles work, friendships, and romance."

The workplace dramedy/romance stars Collins as Emily Cooper, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, Thalia Besson as Geneviève, Paul Forman as Nicolas de Léon, Arnaud Binard as Laurent, Minnie Driver as Princess Jane, Bryan Greenberg as Jake Campbell, and Michèle Laroque as Yvette.

Emily in Paris hails from Sex and the City creator Darren Star, who serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Collins is also a producer.

Collins addressed the imminent end of the series in a clip from Netflix's social media (which you can check out below), reassuring fans that Season 6 will do justice to "Emily's adventure of a lifetime":

"Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily's adventure of a lifetime. Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we're now filming. I can't wait for all of the magic ahead, and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet."

The series has been a boon for the platform over its five seasons, reaching No. 1 on Netflix's worldwide Top 10 English Language TV Chart in a whopping 90 countries. As of writing, Emily in Paris Season 6 is now in production in Greece.
