These Are Nintendo's Biggest Games Coming in June

May was a fun month for Switch and Switch 2 gamers. Nintendo's fans were treated to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (coming out today!), and several great indie titles.

With the calendar about to shift to June, it's time to look at what's to come for Nintendo diehards. These are the Switch and Switch 2 games to buy as the summer skies start to shine.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Switch 2) - June 3, 2026

Final Fantasy VII is the defining RPG of the 1990s, and perhaps the most important in the history of the genre, but it was overdue for a modern overhaul. Square Enix delivered the goods with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in 2024, and now it's headed to the Switch 2 at the beginning of the month. Thank goodness for the Switch 2's improved hardware; Nintendo consoles weren't getting big third-party releases like this in the past.

Love Chemistry - Sibella's Formula (Switch) - June 11, 2026

The smallest game on this list shouldn't be overlooked. Love Chemistry - Sibella's Formula is a wacky, wonky, and truly weird retro platformer starring a flirtatious scientist who uses her charisma and her chemistry skills to alter her enemies at their core. It's in a beautiful art style that is so popular in the universe of indie gaming, and it's available on Switch soon!

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales - June 18, 2026

After years of using their gorgeous HD-2D art style in the Octopath Traveler series, a similar look will be applied to The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. This highly anticipated adventure game has elements of RPGs, top-down Legend ofZelda, and even some Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger. It's a celebration of everything Square Enix excels at!

Star Fox - June 25, 2026

Star Fox was one of the most ignored IPs in the Nintendo canon for the last decade-plus. Not anymore. The swagged-out space fighters are careening onto the Switch 2 at the end of the month in a fully modern remake of Star Fox 64 from the late 1990s. Don't forget to do a barrel roll right back into the Lylat System on June 25!
