Is there anything better than seeing your dog or your other pet so obviously excited to see their best friend? No, no there isn't.

TikTok user @mileythegoldiee shared the best part of her morning runs, which star her Golden Retriever, Miley. The trail route Rosie (the human behind the camera lens) and Miley take every morning is flanked by farmland, and the pair have make a couple of very curious, hoofed friends who now enthusiastically greet them every morning during their routine workout.

Sharing on social media, Miley and her new donkey and horse friend sprint over to each other to say hello during Miley and mom's run. Commenters were quick to point out how delightful and pure the interaction is:

"Just a Golden making friends with everyone as usual. They are the best dogs ever."

"Humans and animals making friends with each other will always make me feel extraordinarily happy."

"Dogs being friends with other species is my favorite thing to watch."

Why Horses and Dogs Bond

While there are exceptions, of course, horses (and other equines, like donkeys) and dogs often naturally bond because they're both pack/herd animals and are highly social. Animals are also highly adept and in tune with reading each other's body language, so it's easier for them to tell when something is off with the other. Dogs and horses also share a "play" language (Think of the zoomies! Both big and small!), making their personalities super complimentary to each other.

It is important, however, as the human involved, to always be on supervision when your dog or horse is around the other. Because horses are naturally prey animals and dogs are naturally predators, it's important to monitor both and make sure all of the animals are comfortable when interacting.

While Rosie isn't quite sure who owns the donkey and horse who are obviously falling in love with Miley, hopefully, someday in the future, the humans can meet and become friends just like their animals have done so swiftly. It'll make those morning runs even sweeter.
