Nate Bargatze is known for his deadpan everyman delivery, creating sidesplitting commentary out of relatable everyday life moments. The Tennessee native recently sat down for a charming conversation with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The comic, who often shares stories about family life while making himself the butt of the joke, turned the tables this time by sharing video footage of his dog's first visit to the family home in Tennessee.

Clearly a city dog at heart, Bargatze commented on his dog's "learning curve" when seeing bushes for the first time, joking, "They don't have bushes in Philadelphia," before showing the hilarious video of the pup's first interaction with greenery.

As the dog explores the home's front porch in the security footage, Bargatze explains that everything initially seems to be going smoothly. Then, the curious pup catches sight of the well-groomed bushes lining the porch.

Rather than cautiously sniffing around or gently investigating the bushes, Bargatze's dog belly-flops directly into them, almost as if bushes were designed for crowd surfing.

The dog launches into the greenery, likely unaware that bushes are soft and unable to support her weight, before quickly disappearing into the shrubs.

Thankfully, there's no need to panic. The footage also shows Bargatze rushing down the stairs to help his adventurous pup safely untangle herself from the bushes.

Fallon's infectious laughter quickly sent social media viewers running to the comments section, with fans writing things like, "Oh that poor dear," and "I love dogs."

Same, honestly.

While Bargatze's story makes for a hilarious talk show moment, the dog's dramatic leap into the bushes may actually be rooted in instinct rather than clueless curiosity.

At heart, most dogs are natural hunters with incredibly strong senses of smell. Bargatze's dog may have heard rustling or picked up an interesting scent in the bushes, triggering her instinct to investigate potential squirrels, mice, or other tiny backyard creatures.

That dramatic airborne leap into deep shrubbery is often a sign of a curious canine following natural hunting instincts.

Something tells us Bargatze can probably expect more doggie stage dives into the bushes at his Tennessee home. And honestly, we'll be watching and waiting because this video is absolutely hilarious.
