Degrassi: Next Class Leaving Netflix on June 30, 2026 – Watch Before It's Gone!

Netflix will be clearing out several different original series when the calendar flips to June. One of them is Degrassi: Next Class, the most recent installment of the popular Canadian Degrassi television series.

Degrassi: Next Class premiered on Family Channel in Canada on January 4, 2016, and was released on Netflix internationally on January 25, 2016. Now, 10 years since its debut and nine years after the series end, Degrassi: Next Class is leaving Netflix.

When is Netflix dropping Degrassi: Next Class?

According to What's on Netflix's Kasey Moore, Degrassi: Next Class is leaving Netflix on June 30, so viewers have some time to watch all four seasons of the show.

Other programs departing on that day include Netflix original limited series Man to Man and the legendary HBO original Sex and the City. In total, there will be dozens of movies and TVs leaving the platform in June.

What to know about Degrassi: Next Class

Degrassi: Next Class is the fifth installment of the Degrassi franchise, which began with The Kids Of Degrassi Street (1979–1986) and continued with Degrassi Junior High (1987–1989), Degrassi High (1989–1991) and Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001–2015).

Degrassi: Next Class consisted of four, 10-episode seasons, with two dropping in 2016 and the another two releasing in 2017. There were over a dozen main cast members, including Amanda Arcuri, Amir Bageria, Soma Bhatia, Chelsea Clark, Reiya Downs, Ana Golja, Nikki Gould, Lyle Lettau. Spencer MacPherson, Eric Osborne, Olivia Scriven and Sara Waisglass.

In March 2019, producer Stefan Brogren, who also played a student on Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High before featuring as Principal Archie "Snake" Simpson on Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi: Next Class, confirmed on X/Twitter that the series had been cancelled.

"Working on new directors reel right now and I'm totally lost watching #DegrassiNextClass. Damn it's so good! Ended too soon," Brogren tweeted.
