For weeks, Allie Peters thought she was leaving food out for a hungry stray cat visiting her home at night. Curious to finally see what her new furry visitor looked like, she decided to set up a Ring camera, only to discover it wasn't a cat showing up on the footage after all.

Her mysterious dinner guest turned out to be a raccoon who had apparently been enjoying free meals the entire time. And while he seemed perfectly happy with the cat food and water she'd been leaving out, wait until you see what Allie started serving him once she realized her nighttime visitor might appreciate a different menu.

Allie shared more in the caption, "I've named him Nelly, and now he gets a full snack plate every night, not just cat food lol!"

But Nelly isn't the only nighttime visitor Allie is feeding these days. A possum she named Penny has also started stopping by to snack on the charcuterie board Allie leaves out each night, and apparently, the two unexpected dinner guests don't always feel like sharing. Sometimes Nelly and Penny end up fighting over the snacks!
