These Golden Retrievers Are Having an Argument and It Makes No Sense

Colin and Sterling, the Golden Retrievers, are best friends and worst enemies-all within the same 1-minute window. It doesn't matter what they're up to... sometimes they're inseparable, and other times they're bickering like siblings. Of course, their "arguments" never amount to much, just a few flared nostrils and flashes of sharp teeth.

Not the booty slam #goldens

As you'll see in a TikTok video shared by their mom, @lifeofsterlingnewton, these two are like peas in a pod-even when they're having a minor disagreement. No one really knows what they're "fighting" about (or if they're even fighting at all), but Colin's signature booty slam is reason enough to watch the clip more than once.

As the pups stand in front of the couch, Colin lets out a bark, which Sterling meets with a dramatic snarl. Then, in his final act of rebellion, Colin turns around and backs right into Sterling-like he's saying, "Take that, big brother!"-before the two take off together like nothing ever happened.

Viewers Joke About What These Dogs Were 'Arguing' About

Of course, there's no way of knowing what Colin and Sterling were "arguing" about, but that didn't stop viewers from sharing their best guesses, including:

"Did you touch my drum set?"

"Mom loves me more than you! No, me more!"

"My butt does NOT look fat!"

This Golden Retriever duo is a classic example of sibling dogs just doing their thing. My two pups are the same way-their favorite thing to argue over is a tennis ball. My Sheepadoodle will grab it and run around the house playing keep-away from her brother. She doesn't even want to play with it... she just doesn't want him to have it!

I thought my Goldendoodle was the only dog who did the "booty slam," but based on this video-and the comment section-it might just be his inner Golden Retriever coming through. Apparently, it's a pretty common move!
