Carlos the Kitten Does Everything to Win Over a Guy Who Doesn't Like Cats
People who claim they "don't like cats" always seem to be the ones cats are most drawn to. For Brian Searcy, that cat is Carlos, an adorable little kitten who has apparently made it his personal mission to win him over.
Carlos is definitely putting in the work trying to woo Brian. There are kisses, cuddles, and demands for attention. There's plenty of biscuit-making, and absolutely no respect for personal space. It's exactly the kind of wholesome content the internet lives for.

We have a sneaking suspicion that Carlos has chosen Brian to be his person, whether he wants to be or not. But how could he say no to that cute little guy?
Brian's wife posted a comment on a separate video with a picture of Carlos and Brian sleeping together and shared, "Update: Brian and Carlos are inseparable." We knew it!

Why Cats Are Drawn to People Who Don't Like Cats
Viewers left thousands of comments about Carlos's attention-seeking skills, and some of them were pretty funny. Like @Brittney Kelley, who joked, "Meanwhile Carlos is saying, 'I'm not much of a ginger person, but Brian here is doing his best to change that' LOL!"
We laughed when @Samurai Mugan joked, "Brian likes his personal space. Carlos also likes Brian's personal space."
@crashtestmeg pointed out, "You don't decide if you're a cat person. A cat decides if you're a cat person."
One commenter shared a theory that a lot of cat parents can relate to: "Kitties sense when someone is not a cat person and do everything in their power to make you love them (or at least give them the attention they feel entitled to)."
My husband isn't a cat person, and cats seem to love him. Dr. Marci Koski, a certified feline behavior and training consultant, explains why.
"People who really like cats are apt to direct themselves at a cat - face them, stare directly at them, approach them - and cats tend to be like, ‘Whoa whoa whoa! This is way too much all at once.' Cats make friends differently."
She notes that direct staring can mimic predatory behavior in the feline world, while people who ignore cats tend to seem calmer and less intimidating. So cats will often approach those people first, and entirely on their own terms.
In other words, Carlos never saw Brian's dislike of cats as a dealbreaker; he saw it as a challenge.
