With Purpose Counseling to celebrate grand opening May 12 in Chehalis

May 8-With Purpose Counseling will celebrate its official opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon Tuesday, May 12.

The practice is located at 409 S. Market Blvd. in Chehalis, in the business complex across from Chehalis Pharmacy.

Owner Amanda Markva is a licensed mental health counselor associate serving children, teens and adults, with a focus on trauma and anxiety-related concerns, according to a news release from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.

"I am passionate about supporting individuals struggling with anxiety and trauma, having worked through these personally," Markva said in the release. "Being able to provide these services - especially to such a wide range of ages - is incredibly meaningful and fulfilling. I'm here to work for you - the patient sets the pace."

Markva said one of her goals in opening a private practice was to make counseling services more accessible through insurance coverage. With Purpose Counseling currently accepts Regence and Premera insurance plans.

As a Lewis County local, Markva is proud to bring more mental health resources to the area. Her professional background includes extensive work in community health settings and partnerships with local school districts.

Through that experience, she recognized a growing need for counseling services for children, particularly those ages 5 through the teen years.

With Purpose Counseling is Markva's first private practice.

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce hosts ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new businesses, milestone anniversaries, relocations, and other significant community celebrations. Community members are encouraged to attend and learn more about local businesses and services.
