Son of NFL Hall of Famer Invited to Broncos Minicamp

Former NFL MVP and Super Bowl Champion Kurt Warner is one of the greatest success stories in NFL history. After going undrafted out of Northern Iowa, Warner played arena football and stocked shelves at a grocery store before finally earning a spot on the Rams' roster in 1998. Warner's son, E.J., now looks to follow a similar path as his father, attending his second NFL minicamp after going unselected in this year's draft.

E.J. was a four-year starter in college, beginning his career at Temple, where he threw for 30 touchdowns across his freshman and sophomore years, earning an AAC Rookie of the Year selection in 2022. E.J. then transferred to Rice in 2024, and then again to Fresno State in 2025, where he would finish off his collegiate career.

E.J.'s play in college was not enough to put him into draft consideration, but he has received some interest post-draft. E.J. is an undersized quarterback, but given who his father is, teams are giving him a deeper look. Having been invited to both the Broncos and Chiefs rookie minicamps, E.J. could impress some coaches and earn a shot at a teams practice squad.
