Golden Retriever's Reaction When He Hears He's Seeing His Girlfriend Says It All

My dogs have very emotional reactions to certain words. When they hear "ride", "dinner", or "treat", they jump up and dance around like they won the canine lottery. It's adorable and I love how happy they get at the mere mention of those things.

Brewer the Golden Retriever also seems to let his feelings show and wasn't shy about it when he heard he'd be seeing his girlfriend.

The gorgeous Golden was chilling on the couch when his dad walked up to him to ask a question.

"Do you wanna go see...," his dad began in the TikTok from @brewer_the_golden, but wasn't able to finish his sentence because the fur baby jumped up in excitement.

Brewer's dad told him to sit and tried starting again, but the canine cutie couldn't contain his joy. "Let me finish," his dad said and waited for Brewer to collect himself.

Apparently, the third time's the charm. Brewer's dad was finally able to complete his sentence and shared that the precious pooch would soon be seeing his gal pal, Millie. Brewer hugged his dad and grabbed onto a rawhide bone, possibly out of nervous giddiness or to bring to his betrothed as a special token of affection.

Brewer was able to pull himself together before leaving the house, yet his tail was in full wag mode. Followers were charmed by Brewer's devotion to his fur baby sweetheart.

"I think someone's excited," one remarked.

"You had me with, 'you wanna go see…'," another posted.

"I wish my boyfriend acted this excited to see me," a follower admitted.

"Him throwing his hands up is so precious," someone pointed out.

Signs Your Dog Loves Another Dog

Dogs are instinctually pack animals and show affection for other canines they consider playmates or BFFs. A few ways they show these feelings include:

  • Enthusiastic tail wagging.
  • Playing together by running side-by-side, tug-of-war games, or roughhousing.
  • Physical touch like snuggling and nuzzling.
  • Just hanging out together and being near each other.

While we don't know for sure if these sweet gestures lean to the romantic side, a dog's natural bent for companionship is apparent toward both humans and fur babies. Needless to say, Brewer probably had plenty of fun with Millie on their special playdate.
