A birth is always exciting. Everyone wants to be involved, even a helpful cow who had people stunned online with the way she pitched in. A mama pig was giving birth to her babies at the Chasin Dreams Homestead when the cow leaned over and helped clean the piglets as they came out. It's truly incredible. Sometimes animals are so sweet.

When they say it takes a village, this is what they mean. The cow was so ready to help out her fellow animal. She was going to make sure those babies were clean.

How Many Piglets Are in a Litter?

This cow was definitely putting in the work. There are so many babies to take care of. How many piglets are in a litter anyway?

The answer can vary, but on average there are about eight to 11 piglets per litter. Pigs have two to three litters per year, which is a lot of babies when you do the math!

Piglets then will feed off their moms for three weeks until they are big enough to be weaned. They stick close to mama! But that's right where they want to be.
