Fifty days before the world's greatest sporting event kicks off on home soil, global Latin superstar Rauw Alejandro didn't wait for the opening whistle to start the celebration. On a charged Tuesday night in Manhattan's iconic Inwood neighborhood, he brought the energy of the fútbol pitch straight to the streets, and Buchanan's Blended Scotch Whisky was pouring every moment of it.

The occasion? The world premiere of Dando Vueltas a genre bending new song and music video born from one of the more fascinating creative ideas you'll hear this year: using an actual fútbol as an instrument, capturing the literal rhythm of the game and translating it into music.

For Rauw, a former soccer player himself, the project is deeply personal. And standing in that room, it showed.

More than 200 fans packed The Hudson, repping jerseys from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Argentina and beyond. The 27-foot Buchamión truck was stocked with exclusive merch that moved fast and for good reason, the pieces were genuinely cool. Interactive photo moments, a mini pitch for fans to show off their skills, and signature Buchanita cocktails rounded out a night that felt less like a brand event and more like a cultural block party that just happened to have premium whisky flowing.

Then, mid-party, Rauw walked through the crowd.

No entourage spectacle, no grand entrance announcement. He moved through the room, greeted fans personally, and made his way to his table for Buchanan's bottle service. For someone at his level, the humility was striking. When he eventually took the stage to countdown the global release of the video and raise a toast a la familia, the room erupted. It was one of those nights where the energy in the space just confirmed that something bigger was building.

That something bigger is Buchanan's FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign - the brand serves as the Official Whisky Supporter of the tournament across North and Latin America, and Dando Vueltas is the next chapter of that story. Brooklyn legend Toñita, actress Dascha Polanco, and a room full of NYC's Latin creative community were all there to witness it. DJs Hector and Nino Segarra (Dimelo Nino) kept the dancefloor locked in all night before the crowd was shuttled to an exclusive afterparty with DJ Fux.

As the FIFA World Cup 2026 countdown ticks down, if this night was any preview of how Latinos are planning to celebrate the game, bolder, louder, and more deeply connected than ever - the tournament itself might not be able to keep up.
