Golden Retriever Just Wants to Say Hello, but Mom Has Other Thoughts

Dogs are very welcoming creatures, sometimes a little too welcoming. At least that's the concern of one dog mom, who worries about the aggressive way her golden retriever greets their guests. The poor pup, whose only crime is loving, has no choice but to listen to his dog mom's warning about greeting people.

Although this pup's mom insists that not every guest enjoys being loved so aggressively, we have to wonder about who wouldn't want to get some extra love from this fluffy lover. Thankfully, this golden's internet aunties took to the comment section to defend him, and it's all a hilarious mess.

Even though his mom says "not every guest wants to be greeted with a body slam as a hello," we can't help but bet this adorable golden retriever didn't understand a single word. The clip is punctuated by a sound bite that asks, "How do you know?" and we can't help but wonder the same thing.

In the comments, this golden retriever received plenty of defense from viewers who were melting over this fluffy pup's big puppy eyes. "Awww!! But being mauled by an adorable dog is the highest form of approval!" demanded one viewer, which we have no choice but to agree with. Elsewhere, another commenter added, "Ughhh, they usually do. Anyone who's in their right mind is hoping for it. People can't receive when they're tied down to problems."

Personally, we can't resist a good golden retriever body slam, although we are sure there are probably one or two people out there who believe otherwise. Thankfully, the comment section is all for the full body hug, with comments like "If they don't want kindness, then don't visit. He is the Host with the most. Give him love or don't visit."

Although the thought of a 100-plus-pound golden retriever jumping on top of you might seem a bit harsh, we know it's exactly how they show their love. Some experts add that dogs jumping on you is simply our pups not knowing how to control their excitement over your presence, and we can't think of anything more wholesome than that. Either way, we are certain that this golden retriever will continue to express his love in his typical, outward way.
