Blue Jays All-Star George Springer Puts $6.4 Million Mansion on the Market
One of the Toronto Blue Jays' top players has put his luxury mansion on the market, a strong indicator that he's not expecting to return after this season.
After falling just two outs shy of a World Series championship last October, the 2026 season hasn't been kind to the Blue Jays whatsoever. They open a three-game weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians with a 10-14 record, 5.5 games behind the New York Yankees for first in the AL East.
As if their lousy start wasn't worrisome enough for Blue Jays fans? Well, one of their top players just dropped a major indicator that he's not coming back in 2027.
Per Dan Bilicki of the Toronto Sun, All-Star outfielder George Springer has put his $6.4 million mansion on the market. The mansion is located in the city's Lawrence Park neighborhood.
According to its online listing, the mansion carries over 5,300 square feet in living space. It includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Springer and his wife, Charlise, reportedly purchased the house in 2022.
George Springer Is in the Final Year of His Contract
The Blue Jays made a giant splash when they signed Springer to a six-year deal worth $150 million in the 2021 offseason. The four-time All-Star has led the Jays to three playoff appearances, even hitting the game-winning home run in Game 7 of the 2025 ALCS against the Seattle Mariners.
Springer is in the final season of that six-year deal. Given his age (37 in September) and injury history, it's anybody's guess if the Jays are keen on keeping the former Houston Astros superstar beyond this season.
Putting his home on the market doesn't necessarily mean that Springer is definitely leaving, though. He could always re-sign with Toronto on a short-term deal and rent out another home, all while pocketing extra cash if he can find a buyer for his $6.4 million mansion.
