Pluto TV Offers Six Free Tom Cruise Movies in May, Including Top Gun: Maverick
Tom Cruise fans are in for a big month of May on Pluto TV. The free, ad-supported streaming service is adding six of the legendary actor's most popular films.
Viewers will be able to access five movies from the Mission: Impossible series, as well as Top Gun: Maverick, for the entire month of May, free of charge. Pluto TV shared the news in an email with Men's Journal previewing next month's new content.
Which Tom Cruise movies are coming to Pluto May 1?
- Mission: Impossible (1996)
- Mission: Impossible 2 (2000)
- Mission: Impossible III (2006)
- Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011)
- Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015)
- Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
That makes five of the eight Mission: Impossible movies and the smash-hit sequel to 1986's Top Gun all joining the platform.
'Mission: Impossible' has been put to rest
Cruise played protagonist Ethan Hunt in every edition of the Mission: Impossible franchise, including 2025's The Final Reckoning.
There was some speculation about whether or not Mission: Impossible would continue beyond The Final Reckoning, but Cruise put that idea to bed during the red carpet premiere for the film.
"It's the final! It's not called ‘final' for nothing," Cruise said, via The Hollywood Reporter.
"It went beyond our expectations," he added. "It's been a real privilege and a pleasure. I look forward to making a bunch of other kinds of movies with you. I can't wait."
However, it's looking good for 'Top Gun 3'
Paramount has been saying since 2024 that a Top Gun 3 was in the works, and Josh Greenstein, the company's film co-head, provided a major update on the project at CinemaCon one week ago.
"Top Gun 3 officially in development with a script underway, reuniting Tom Cruise and Jerry Bruckheimer," Greenstein said.
Paramount owner David Ellison had previously said Top Gun 3 was a "top priority" for the studio. Top Gun: Maverick was a smashing success four years ago, grossing $1.5 billion globally.
