An esthetician in Virginia caught a once-in-a-lifetime moment on camera that looks almost impossible at first glance-deer standing on their hind legs and striking each other like boxers in a tense, upright fight. The dramatic encounter, which unfolded in full view of @maggie_forest's window, has quickly drawn attention for its human-like intensity.

Some viewers drew comparisons to boxing kangaroos or sassy cat fights, but this deer fight video is truly one of a kind. Have you ever seen anything like this before?

This Virginia deer fight left Maggie holding her breath, though the classical music added a layer of humor that no one can ignore. Still, commentators like @mandyymullins can't deny how strange it is to see a four-legged animal standing on two legs.

"Never in my life have I seen deer standing," she admitted. And she's certainly not alone! Deer are notoriously shy and hesitant, especially around humans, so fights like this typically happen when no one is looking.

"What could they possibly be beefing about?" asked @jadieebug. It could be anything! These does could be fighting over territory, food, or even mates, though rutting season isn't until later in the year. We may never know what started this argument, but this viral animal video gives its viewers plenty to talk about.

Why Do Deer Stand Up?

There's no question that this is an entertaining way to settle a dispute, but why do deer stand up? I've seen many deer in Northern California stand on their back legs to reach the leaves or fruit off of tall branches, but this deer fight is entirely different.

According to Texas Parks and Wildlife, this is a common fighting stance among female whitetail deer. While bucks prefer to fight with their antlers, does fight with their front feet. Their hooves are surprisingly sharp! As silly as this may look, serious injuries can and do occur.

Deer are peaceful and docile wild animals, but Maggie's video proves they can be fierce fighters, too. I wonder who won this argument?
