Labradors Stare at Dad Just Like the Twins From ‘The Shining'

Jody Hartman is the dog dad to the internet-famous Labrador Retrievers Stella and Mabel. The two became instant stars because of their love of jumping into (and hiding in!) huge piles of leaves and refusing to come out of the snow cave Jody builds for them each winter.

Do you remember the 1980 horror movie The Shining, based on the bestselling novel by Stephen King? Twins Alexa and Alexie Grady were killed by their father at the haunted Overlook Hotel, and then continued to haunt visitors there. In this video, Jody shares clips of his girls staring at him every time he starts recording, and it's seriously giving The Shining twins vibe. Once you see it, you can't unsee it, and the ominous music just makes the whole thing even better!

We laughed when we read Jody's caption: "The Whining." It's the perfect play on The Shining!
