Newfoundland Sees His Human Sisters on a Small Raft and Clumsily ‘Rescues' Them
Newfoundland dogs love the water, and since they also have strong rescue instincts, when they see someone in need, they won't hesitate to jump right in and to help. Chewy the Newfie lives in North Carolina and spends a lot of time swimming and playing in the ocean. Recently, he saw his human sisters sitting in a small raft and decided they needed rescuing, but it didn't go quite as planned.
The video starts with Chewy standing at the end of the dock, ready to jump in and save the girls. He trips when he jumps, making his ocean entry look pretty messy! But that doesn't stop him from getting the job done, and his sisters love every minute of their rescue!

We laughed when we read what Chewy's pawrents said about the rescue, "Ruff start, but his hero cape remains intact." He's the goodest boy!

Funny Reactions to Chewy's Clumsy Rescue
Viewers had some funny things to say about the Newfie's rescue, and some of them made us laugh. Like @melodia_gomez, who shared a snapshot of Chewy's face as he got out of the water and said what he was probably thinking, "These girls are gonna be the death of me..."
@Jamie T asked, "Awe, poor Chewy!!! Has his Grandma seen this?!!!!" His grandma is his best friend, and his mom replied, "No LOL!! She wouldn't let him go swimming again! But he is perfectly fine, and he LOVES this!! We did several rescues today, and I cooked him a big steak!"
Commenter @Kurt Reid pointed out, "Not perfect, but mission accomplished!" @Rosie Sweets added, "Task failed successfully!"
Others didn't see the humor in the video. @Tmg0101 said, "That was not funny." @Judy Wingate said the same thing, and Chewy's mom responded, "He's okay! He's goofy and does this a lot, even just running or chasing squirrels! I just never catch it on film."
@Jacqueline22 added, "I missed why you thought this was funny." Chewy's mom replied, "It wasn't funny, but we're just having a good time, and Chewy is living his dream doing what his ancestors did. He's just a little goofy!"
If Chewy had really been hurt, his mom definitely wouldn't have posted it. She knows her dog better than anyone, and if she was okay with the situation, they should be, too.
