Walla Walla Valley Chamber's State of the State set for May 12

Business owners, community leaders and residents can hear from lawmakers about the policies shaping Washington's economic and regulatory landscape at the upcoming State of the State hosted by the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce.

District 16's Sen. Perry Dozier, R-Waitsburg, and Reps. Mark Klicker and Skyler Rude, both R-Walla Walla, will be in attendance.

"Our goal is to create space for meaningful dialogue, where our business community can better understand what's happening at the state level and how it directly impacts their operations, workforce and future planning," Chamber CEO Arlene Alen said in a news release.

As such, practical understanding will be prioritized over formality. Those who attend can ask questions and share concerns.

The goal, Alen said, is to gain perspective on the policies influencing the local economy so business leaders are not going at it alone.

The gathering is planned for Tuesday, May 12, at the Walla Walla Regional Airport, 45 Terminal Loop Road, in the conference room.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the program will run from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Registration is open on the Chamber website and early sign-up is encouraged. Registration for nonmembers costs $20. With lunch, registration for nonmembers is $35.
